We are currently seeking a strategic, resourceful and creative Head of Membership to lead the membership team and play an active role as an integral member of leadership team at Gleneagles Townhouse.

The Membership team at Gleneagles Townhouse will be the face for all members. We want to create an environment of spontaneity and fun for our membership community by delivering first class service, interesting event programming and frequent communications.

The Gleneagles Hotel is rich in history, for almost 100 years we’ve been sparking adventure across the Glorious Playground, our luxury hotel and country estate in rural Perthshire. Gleneagles Townhouse has arrived in the city creating a new chapter in our history, bringing our countryside flair to life on St Andrew Square, in the heart of Edinburgh. Recently crowned ‘Best New Urban Hotel’ in National Geographic Traveller's Hotel Awards,everything we do is about surpassing expectations and creating exceptional hospitality experiences for our guests.

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:
Leading a small and mighty team, you’ll spend your day fluctuating between strategic, creative and hands on tasks
Evolving and developing our membership strategy including membership acquisition and retention, member onboarding and member engagement in collaboration with the Head of Membership Experience
Attracting and acquiring new members, including tapping into your existing network, you’ll be ensuring the Townhouse benefits from a diverse membership community by assessing demographic and financial needs
Working with data, you’ll provide insight that helps us better understand our membership community and shape our priorities
Supporting the Membership Team on all aspects of systems and processes, including management of our CRM system, and continuous improvement of all processes
Continuously adapting and improving the member experience, you’ll be actively consolidating and responding to membership feedback in collaboration with the Membership Experience team
In collaboration with our Brand Team, you’ll develop the existing programme of social, cultural and community-led events for members, recognising the need for diversity and creativity to create a colourful and active programme that reflects the aspirations of our membership
Implementing partnerships that enhance our membership experience and operation of the hotel, you’ll intuitively know which brands best align with our strategy and vision, including growing the reciprocal club network
Developing an engaging communication strategy for all members and guests, you’ll be the custodian of a strategic communication plan that ensures members are always up to date with the latest news and goings on
Growing the membership base, you’ll proactively engage potential new members and retain a tight grip of those members who’ve already joined us
You’ll work closely and collaboratively with every team in the Townhouse, recognising that communication is central to ensuring our membership promises are fulfilled
Working closely with the Membership Experience team, and in particular the Head of Membership Experience, you’ll ensure a seamless journey for existing and prospective members
You’ll be an early bird some days and a night owl others, working flexibly during the week and weekends to deliver the membership programme and meeting members when they visit.
Interacting with our members and guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way
