Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

  • You’ll be responsible for all aspects of our Townhouse operation, an ambassador for our brand, you’ll provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of our service excellence and the development of our people
  • Ensuring each of your teams work together and communicate effectively to create the ultimate experience for our guests, overseeing every aspect of our guest and member journey, from pre-arrival through to departure, in line with LQA and Forbes standards
  • Being financially astute and able to run a profitable hotel, you’ll take full accountability for the revenue targets, profitability and performance of your business end to end
  • Overseeing the successful completion of all capex projects and product enhancements, you’ll ensure the hotel is always presented to the highest standards
  • Striving to see our service through our guests’ eyes, you’ll take every opportunity to ensure their Townhouse experience is exceptional
  • Recognising that communication is central to ensuring our values and promises are fulfilled, you’ll coach and support our department leaders, inspiring all to do their best work always
  • Setting the tone and leading by example, you’ll be developing a team culture where your team feel valued and convey this warmth and thoughtfulness to others through the delivery of exceptional service.
  • Disseminating key insight from guest data, you’ll use this to celebrate success and drive continuous improvement across Townhouse, coaching and developing your teams to further develop and enhance the guest experience
  • Understanding the importance and timeliness of service recovery and complaint handling, you’ll ensure both you and the team are poised, responsive and able to respond effectively
  • You’ll consistently assess each department’s current ways of working, driving change, process improvement and innovation, increasing productivity, and embedding service excellence at every touch point across the guest journey, ensuring each one continues to evolve and elevate its practice
  • Using rigorous logic to solve difficult problems, you’ll probe for answers, see hidden problems, analyse situations, look beyond the obvious, and make good decisions based on a mixture of analysis, wisdom, and experience
  • Working seamlessly with our Resident Manager and operational leaders on a day-to-day basis, you’ll role model the impact of a collaborative and joined-up way of working to both our people and our guests
  • Demonstrating your presence, responsiveness, and courtesy to the needs of guests, members, and owners, you’ll build connections and be recognisable, whilst striking a balance of working ‘on’ and ‘in’ the business

  • You know what great looks like, how to lead change, elevate a service culture, and drive consistency

  • You possess a strong drive to support and help others, and have little room for ego
