We have an excellent opportunity for the role of a **Supported Housing Officer** to work with our Client based in the **Nottinghamshire** area. The company is a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping people with disabilities live as independently as possible.

**Job Title**:Supported Housing Officer

**Hours**:20 hours a week

**Salary**:Full time equivalent £40k

**The role**
- To provide an excellent customer-focused service for all tenants, ensuring that care and support housing properties are well managed and the environment is well maintained.
- Working proactively and closely with tenants and support agencies to address environmental, property and tenancy issues, ensuring tenancies are sustained.
- To develop local knowledge of the communities and neighbourhoods in which our supported housing operates and establish partnerships to meet the needs of tenants and the community.
- To work closely with our support and care providers in our care and support housing schemes.
- Tenant involvement is an essential part of all roles, and you are expected to support the policies and procedures relating to the involvement of tenants and contribute to the organisational action plan.
- Travel between services is expected

- Excellent communication skills
- Patience, empathy and being able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds
- An understanding of Housing Law
- Experience in housing management for vulnerable people
- Experience in the full range of housing management activities including supporting clients to submit benefit claims including for housing benefit
- Experience in Property Management
- The ability to self-develop, listening to others and raising issue when necessary to improve the performance of the team
- Must have Full U.K driving licence with own car (mileage expenses will be paid)
- Proactive person who can use your own decision making.
- Good Attitude and work ethic.
- Previous experience with working as a domestic cleaner.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Empathetic to people and kind.
- Good communication skills.
