Housing Caseworker

Worksop, United Kingdom Citizens Advice Bassetlaw Full time

Join our friendly team at Citizens Advice Bassetlaw where we're starting a vital initiative to enhance housing guidance services. This role, in collaboration with Bassetlaw District Council, aims to raise the standard of privately rented homes and empower tenants to uphold their rights.

Lately, we've noticed a worrying trend: renters facing unfair practices from landlords, a situation worsened by rising living costs and a lack of affordable homes. Often, tenants feel trapped, having to decide between standing up for their rights or keeping their home.

As a Housing Caseworker, you'll advise clients, advocate for improvements, swiftly communicate pressing matters to the council, and train our staff to enhance our housing advice services.

**We encourage individuals who may not have a background in housing, but demonstrate a strong capacity for learning and a desire to advance in this field to apply.**

Post-pandemic, we've shifted to a flexible work model, splitting time between home and our North Nottinghamshire offices. During the training period, there will be more office-based working. Post -training, we will ask for you to spend more than half of your time in our offices.

Our presence in Worksop and Retford is well-established. We're known for our dedication, stability, and high satisfaction ratings from quality audits to client feedback. Plus, we're proud to be a Disability Confident employer.
