Job Title: Housing Casework Officer – Rough Sleeper Specialist

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Worker Type: Onsite - working across the city

Salary: Starting Salary is £30,296 rising to £33,024 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

Location: Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham - requirement to work at various locations around the City.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Housing Casework Officer to join our team. As a key member of our statutory homelessness team, you will play a vital role in providing housing solutions and support to our citizens.

The successful candidate will have a good operational working knowledge of housing legislation in both the public and private sector, as well as an understanding of homelessness and associated legislation. You will be able to advise on and decide any duties owed to citizens for the Authority.

You will be responsible for effectively managing a complex workload under pressure, meeting specified targets and deadlines, while demonstrating attention to detail, prioritisation and self-organisation skills. A commitment to providing a high-quality customer-focused service is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide housing solutions and support to citizens in housing need
  • Advise on and decide any duties owed to citizens for the Authority
  • Effectively manage a complex workload under pressure

  • Work in partnership across different sectors, building and maintaining good working relationships

Requirements:

  • Good operational working knowledge of housing legislation in both the public and private sector
