You will be expected to actively participate in annual appraisals and seek to implement our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy and the objective to promote equality of opportunity in relation to the duties of the post.Objectives will be set, that your performance will be monitored against in conjunction with your manager. While specific targets and objectives will change, the key accountability areas for this post are: To provide project management support to the Patient Experience Senior Management Team.

To support the Patient Experience Manager to develop and implement patient objectives, strategy, projects, policies and procedures to ensure the Trust meets legal, national and best practice obligations under the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda. To prepare and deliver relevant reports, documentation and briefing papers to a variety of key internal and external groups ensuring effective communication and implementation of subsequent actions. To link with local and national equality and diversity networks and agencies, developing and/or participating in effective networks, forums and communication channels championing the work of the trust. To facilitate the sharing of best practice and information through effective evidence gathering and updates to key stakeholders.

To represent the Trust on national and local forums and other such Equality & Diversity and Inclusion activities on behalf of the Patient Experience Manager where required. Work with the EDI team (workforce) to ensure that Equality, Diversity and Inclusion objectives are coordinated and deliver against the wider EDI strategy. Attend relevant steering groups and committee meetings to present or inform on aspects of patient related EDI issues. Oversee the operational running of the Patient Leader Programme under the supervision of the Patient Experience SMT.

Promote best practice across the Trust in related to patient EDI using appropriate communication methods and campaigns; provide training to staff groups relevant to their areas.
