Pensions Technical Officer

A number of opportunities have arisen for full-time Pensions Administrators within our experienced team. You will be required to work as part of a small team to assist one of the Senior Pensions Officers with all aspects of Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and Firefighters’ Pension Scheme administration, providing information and support to scheme members and other relevant stakeholders.

The main duties will include:

- updating pension scheme member's records accurately
- the calculation of basic scheme member's pension benefit entitlements
- responding to verbal and written scheme member queries
- liaising with Scheme member’s Employers to ensure that accurate and sufficient information is held on the member’s records.

You will need to demonstrate:

- An excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills, which are integral to this role
- An ability to work to statutory deadlines.

Whilst the location/work-base for this role may have been specified our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to also work remotely (e.g., from home/other locations). We will discuss this with you during the recruitment process.
