**The Role**:
We are expanding our fantastic HSEQ team and looking for a professional Sustainability and Environmental Lead to join us Reporting to the Head of HSEQ you will provide value-added support to the organisation so that we can effectively discharge our responsibilities relating to environmental and sustainability best practice. You will collaborate with the leadership teams to help ensure a collective vision environmental systems and compliance and focuses on our people and their behaviour to help create a positively reinforced learning culture. This is a full time permanent role and is a mixture of home working and office working.

**Responsibilities**:

- Creating and developing Avove’s ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management System
- Innovation in Industry - being a focal point for the communication of current trends.
- Performance Reporting & Management
- Advise against the business’s environmental strategy, its implementation and performance requirements working with the ESG lead.
- Undertake conformance and compliance audits against company, legal, certification, and client requirements.
- Undertake internal audits on the EMS joint with the quality compliance lead.
- Support the HSE advisors and train up on environmental legislation and compliance.
- Upskill operational teams around environment close calls.
- Report on trends and lessons learned.
- Support ESOS and SECR reports.
- Carry out duty of care audits on waste management companies.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Lead Auditor-ISO 14001 qualification
- Good communication skills
- Environmental awareness in construction and civils
