Applicants should note that DBS has recently undertaken a review of its operational locations in the North West, and will consolidate all activities in Blackpool. This means that DBS staff will move from both Walker House (Liverpool) and Cheadle Hulme in the late Summer of 2023 and initially relocate to Tomlinson House (Norcross). A further move, to the new Government Hub at Talbot Gateway in Blackpool, is scheduled to take place in 2026.

As a result, all vacant DBS posts in the North West will be advertised at Tomlinson House (Norcross). There is, however, an expectation that all DBS staff, irrespective of their agreed duty station, will travel to other DBS and/or MOD site(s), as required, to complete all necessary training and to participate in team or additional collaborative activities - detached duty terms may apply. Terms of transfer have been negotiated for DBS posts relocating in the North West. DBS also supports Flexible Working, which can be discussed in more detail at interview.

**Job description**:
As Cyber Security Training and Awareness Lead you will market and deliver an enterprise wide information and cyber security awareness strategy and training program. The role will require the identification of security awareness and training requirements in line with business needs and strategy direction.
- **This role is office based however, DBS are working hard to improve our access to, and use of, digital technology, empowering our people to work remotely.**

Working within the wider Cyber Team reporting directly to the Cyber Lead, with specific responsibilities for delivering Cyber Security Training and awareness across DBS. The role of Cyber Security Training and awareness lead includes the ability to promote and market information security awareness within the business and to positively change our employee’s perception of the need for information security and to drive a culture which embraces secure ways of working. You will provide advice on the interpretation of Information Security policy, procedures and guidance; as well as the ability to track progress and report on the compliance of Information Security Education & Awareness activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify the gaps within the organisation's security culture and develop a remediation strategy.
- Develop and deliver an enterprise-wide security training and awareness strategy.
- Explore innovative ways to deliver security awareness
- Work with internal and wider MOD stakeholders including IT and non-IT staff to promote information security training and awareness.
- Gain management commitment and resources to support security training and awareness.
- Build relationships with stakeholders
