Applicants should note that DBS has recently undertaken a review of its operational locations in the North West, and will consolidate all activities in Blackpool. This means that existing DBS staff will move from both Walker House (Liverpool) and Cheadle Hulme in the late Summer of 2023 and initially relocate to Tomlinson House (Norcross). A further move, to the new Government Hub at Talbot Gateway in Blackpool, is scheduled to take place in 2026.

There is, however, an expectation that all DBS staff, irrespective of their agreed duty station, will travel to other DBS and/or MOD site(s), as required, to complete necessary training and to participate in team or additional collaborative activities - detached duty terms may apply. Terms of transfer have been negotiated for DBS posts and employees relocating in the North West. DBS also supports Flexible Working, which can be discussed in more detail at interview.

**Job description**:
The role holder is responsible for the management, control and to facilitate resolution of all IRT incidents (including Critical and reputational). This includes associated root cause analysis to mitigate against future impacts. He/she owns and manages the IRT critical management team, processes, and strategy. This process holds the business accountable to drive their incidents through to a timely conclusion. The IRT will utilise lessons learned from prior incidents as well as proactively monitoring trends and manage appropriately as a problem.

Direct and encourage the engagement and coordination of the IRT business Reps throughout DBS and ensure that this achieves the right level of cross-communication.

Work closely with the Risk and Business Continuity team to ensure that this essential cross business relationship is run smoothly. Responsible for the Operational Performance & Planning Tool and process, including the input of correct data including forecasting. Responsible for any changes related to the tool to reflect any changes to KPI’s. Ensure detailed information in relation to any service at risk is captured and validated through the weekly OPPT meeting. This information is then used and reflected in numerous board packs and re-laid to the CEO/Head of FP&CP weekly. Support any service in ‘recovery’ or ‘at risk’ with recovery planning, including reaching out to other areas of the business to support improvements and communications where appropriate, including the forming of working groups or the most appropriate recovery planning technique. Ensure that all agreed Management Information Reporting packs are produced on time, whilst providing information at the correct depth and breath.
