The ideal person will have:

- At least 3 years experience working in an administration role
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Advanced IT skills, with experience in effectively working with the Microsoft suite of programmes, in particular Word and Excel

It would be preferable but not essential if the person had
- Previous experience in a logistics department in the construction / marine fit out sector
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP system

The duties will include:

- Liaise with Contracts departments to identify logistic requirements.
- Organise shipments, develop and confirm schedules
- Work with Production to meet freight schedules
- Record and track freight movements
- Register Customs and Excise commodity codes
- Prepare paperwork for regulatory bodies
- Create and maintain accurate inventories for tooling
- Co-ordinate drivers, vehicles, loads and journeys
- Drive vehicles for deliveries and collections if required
- Operate IT systems including MS Excel and Word
- Occasional travel in accordance with the roles commercial functionality
