We provide specialist services for the following industries: Pharmaceuticals/Life Sciences, Air-Freight, Temperature Controlled Freight & FMCG, Hazardous Cargo(ADR), High Value Goods, fuel & lubricants. Our Multi Temperature Services include: Transport / Warehousing / Distribution.
- Due to rapid growth we are currently looking to recruit an experienced accounts assistant based in our Newry office._
A short list of daily tasks and responsibilities for the role - weekly tasks:
- Payroll processing and statutory returns associated with this
- Purchase ledger processing
- Sales ledger processing
- Bank reconciliations
- Debtor ledger reconciliation and communication with customers
- Monthly management account preparation
- Previous finance experience required
- Good mathematical skills
- Experience with Sage 200 preferable
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Good Communication Skills in English (interpersonal, listening, written and oral)
- A knowledge of Sage 200 and Microsoft Office to include Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Checking and filing of delivery notes.
- Working with the manager to ensure all customer accounts are correct.
- Reporting for customers.
- Minimum Two years experience
Duties
- Process and maintain employee records in the HRIS system
- Perform data entry tasks to update employee information and ensure accuracy Assist with accounts payable duties, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation Utilize accounting software to generate financial reports and assist with budgeting.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources department to support employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Conduct analysis of employee data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings and preparing documents
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working with HRIS systems, such as PeopleSoft or Workday
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as QuickBooks, for financial reporting
- Knowledge of human resources processes and procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proficiency with Sage Line 50 Accounts is essential to include all aspects of invoice processing, maintenance of debtor, creditor & nominal ledgers together with bank reconciliations.
- Experience of PAYE processing, reporting and submission requirements in both NI & ROI jurisdictions to include a working knowledge of Sage Payroll.
- Experience of VAT processing, reporting and submission requirements in both NI & ROI jurisdictions to include preparation and submission of EC sales lists and EU VAT claims.
- Ability to liaise with customers, suppliers and staff in relation to all aspects of work.
- Have excellent office administration skills.
- Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with knowledge and experience that this position requires.
