Overview:
To process pensioner payrolls for occupational pension schemes in accordance with contracts to the required standards and deadlines. Responsible for the day-to-day payroll processing for a portfolio of occupational pension schemes.

**Responsibilities**:
**Duties**:

- To reconcile the pension payrolls ensuring all payrolls processed are accurate and on time including monthly PAYE submissions to HMRC.
- Manually calculate any advance payments outside of the payroll.
- Dealing with payroll deductions and reporting to third parties including court orders, attachment of earnings, priority orders, healthcare, and GAYE subscriptions.
- Processing lump sum payments including trivial commutations, small lump sums and UFPLS.
- Dealing with all bacs recalls, returned payments, recalculations of pensioners pay and year to date adjustments.
- Process bacs rejects including liaison with Treasury and Admin teams.
- Processing overseas payments and liaising with our third-party providers.
- Ensure own work is peer reviewed as appropriate.
- Liaise with HMRC and other third parties to resolve any tax related queries.
- Ensure all queries in the payroll mailbox and are dealt with as per the SLA’s.
- To be able to have full confidence in answering all payroll queries on payroll helpline.
- Liaise with Admin teams, Consultants and third parties as necessary to support the above.
- Comply with Corporate Policies and Procedures on reconciliations, authorisations, and evidencing.

- Computer literate in the use of Office Systems, e.g., Microsoft Office for word processing, spreadsheets etc.
