To take and accurately record enquiries and messages and for these to be dealt with by an appropriate member of the cardiology team. Assist in the triage of Cardiac rehab referrals as required Manage referrals to the Well Being service and Heart Failure Community teams Assist and support in the continual development of the Cardiac Rehabilitation service, identifying ways to improve and streamline the service. Provide administrative support to Cardiology meetings as required. Administrative Duties Book and reschedule Cardiac Rehab classes on eCare sending appropriate letters Support the secretarial team and TAC when cover is required due to annual leave or sick leave.

Communicate effectively with the IT department, for ad-hoc changes with CNSs clinics and classes. Book and create encounters for furosemide infusion patients on ecare for admissions to cardiac day unit as per request. Assist in clinic preparation including obtaining and accessing blood results Manage day to day tasks, including photocopying, posting assessment and information packs to patients, and making up patient packs. Type letters using e-care and m-modal and insure relevant paperwork in filled on Evolve in a timely manner.

Prepare patient notes for audit submission. Search and compile data and information upon staff request. Book rooms for meetings and take minutes. Maintain stationery and information booklet levels.

Training and Teaching Attend mandatory training annually in accordance with Trust Policy, including Health and Safety and Fire Training. Maintain and continue to develop IT skills and when appropriate train and assist the Cardiology nurses with IT problems. Attend annual appraisal in order to evaluate own work and gain feedback from the team. Policy and Service Development Facilitate the department annual patient satisfaction survey.

Provide data for audit purpose, as instructed by the Cardiology department. Maintain confidentiality of all information obtained in accordance with Trust policies. Be aware of new changes to policies and adapt own work accordingly.
