Patient Services Coordinator

**About the Role**:
Bennetts End Surgery has an opportunity for a Patient Services Coordinator to join our friendly team on a full-time basis for 37.5 hours per week plus one Saturday in four.
The aim of this role is to streamline the flow of patient’s requests which have been submitted. The post holder will effectively triage into respective clinical or administrative pathways. The post holder will follow the eConsult Optimisation Flowchart and protocol. Full training will be provided onsite to ensure the post holder is sufficiently equipped to carry out their duties. In addition, this role will also need to be able to provide cover to the rest of the patient services team.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- To effectively manage and triage incoming eConsult requests and patient-online and administrative services.
- To demonstrate excellent communication skills across a wide range of media (face-to-face, telephone, electronically) and ensure that patients and visitors are always appropriately signposted to the relevant personnel.
- To demonstrate empathy, patience and a holistic approach to patient care whilst always behaving with professionalism, efficiency and resilience when faced with challenging situations.
- To support the GPs and nurses with the delivery of patient care by undertaking chaperoning duties.
- To undertake ad hoc tasks as requested by the management team that assist the surgery.

- English Language and Mathematics ‘O’ level/GCSE or equivalent.
- Computer literacy familiar with a variety of Office software systems.

**About Us**: Bennetts End Surgery is a large GP practice in Hemel Hempstead, looking after 17,000 patients. We are a forward thinking training practice situated in a purpose built surgery with 25 consulting rooms where we offer a full range of clinical services to the patients we serve, the building also houses a 100 hour pharmacy and MASTA (travel) clinic.
