We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person with excellent communication and organisation skills to provide telephone and administration support to the Specialist Older Adults Mental Health Team based at Mill View Hospital

In this role you will be undertaking telephone calls from service users, family members, GP surgeries and other outside agencies and provide administration support to the medics and practitioners within the team

The ability to work as part of a team is essential and you will need experience of working in an office environment and providing telephone support as sometimes calls can be distressing. Communication skills will also prove vital to the role as you will have contact with patients and staff.

The role is 15 hours per week Monday and Tuesday 9.00 - 17.00 to fit the needs of the service.

First point of contact for calls to the service, transferring calls to the appropriate staff member, answering queries where appropriate or seeking help when necessary.

To produce from typed notes clinical letters to a high standard of presentation and accuracy using appropriate Trust templates, in line with Trust guidelines.

To take notes at Safeguarding and Best Interest Meetings as required

Provide general administration support including, photocopying and scanning documents, uploading information onto the patient information system, post duties and sending documents and prescriptions to Pharmacies and GP surgeries

The Specialist Older Adults Mental Health Service includes Psychiatrists, Community Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Support Workers and General Mental Health Practitioners. The post is based at Mill View Hospital.

The current admin team consists of 3 staff (2 job share & 1 part time)
