**Business Development Lead - Basingstoke**
**£45,000 + Uncapped Commission**
I am currently recruiting for a well-known, award-winning specialist within the security and network industry who are looking for a business development lead to join their team based in Basingstoke.
You will be responsible for leading, motivating and developing their team of BDE’s in order to build a qualified pipeline for the Sales Team to close. In this role you will perform BDE responsibilities and lead by example to support the team to exceed boththeir individual and team targets. You will also work closely with Sales, Marketing, and the Operations Team to maximise pipeline creation.
This is a really exciting opportunity to join a growing sales team and work with some of the largest UK and global brands.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Build the Business Development Team using training, mentoring and successfully driving the team towards success
- Lead by example whilst supporting the rest of the team to exceed
- Monitor and refine processes to improve the team’s productivity
- Identify strong target accounts and prospects and also efficiently pitch and set meetings with qualified prospects and customers
- Work with the rest of the sales team to optimise pipeline creation
- Execute outbound prospecting campaigns in coordination with the sales team to generate leads
- Understand customer needs to gather key prospect information, generate interest and bring high quality prospects into the sales pipeline
- Manage, nurture and convert leads into qualified opportunities
- Work with the Marketing dept to increase online presence
- Support the recruitment of team members through to onboarding
- Conduct regular 1:1 session with team members to review performance against targets, understand challenges and share learnings
- Ensure that training programs are completed as and when required
- Monitor productivity, address issues and take action
**Required skills**:
- Experienced in building a successful business development team
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and manage the performance of a BDE team while supporting business needs
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Strong background in a lead generation environment
- Able to pursue both individual and team goals and work towards monthly targets
- Bring your sales skills to the table to support the creation of a high performing team
- Have a strong drive to succeed and hit weekly, monthly and annual targets
- A commitment to deliver the basics to the highest possible standard, every single time.
- Strong drive to improve your earnings and build a career in a fast moving, competitive sales environment.
- Previous experience within IT industry would be a distinct advantage
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good organisational skills, with a proven ability to multitask
