Community Support Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our established and friendly Community Peer Group Development Team.

Your role will be a homebased position meaning you will work fully remotely from home. You will work full time, 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9-5) on a permanent contract with a salary of £18,747.20 to £21,036.35pa or £21,393.30 to £23,682.46pa inclusive of London Weighting. Our team works directly with carers and people severely affected by mental illness who want to address the need for peer support provision in their local community. We support and empower those volunteers to establish their own peer support groups and embed them into their local communities, thus creating stronger and wider networks of carer and mental health support. These groups become a lifeline for many people reducing social isolation and loneliness, providing opportunities for learning new skills, improving feelings of wellbeing and confidence, and building new social networks; all of which contribute towards a better quality of life, not just for the members attending the groups, but the peer volunteers running them. We have more than 135 established voluntary led peer support groups across England, and this number continues to grow with many more in development.
What will I be doing?
**You will**:
Build relationships with our group volunteers and those involved in our work, providing them with support, guidance, information, and resources as required.
Manage and process documentation required for the onboarding of volunteers, registration of groups and maintain accurate records of all our groups and volunteers on our database.
Ensure full compliance with General Data Protection Regulations and work closely with the team to maintain this.
Process team financial transactions including the management of petty cash.
Provide general administration to the team and communicate with them regarding the status of work and requests from our groups and volunteers.
Prepare and post out publication materials, new group starter packs and information to ensure groups are well informed and have what they need to run their group or events.
Liaise with external suppliers to order goods and services, maintain a register of all promotional materials and the team IT assets.
Provide administration support to the Regional Stakeholder Group Chairs as directed
Manage travel and accommodation bookings for staff and volunteers as and when required.
Produce Information and reports using Word and Excel.
Any reasonable administrative requests as required by the Senior Support Officer and Community and Group Development Team Manager.

Outstanding Customer Service skills
Excellent attention to detail
A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
IT/computer qualification is desirable e.g ECDL, RSA 111, CLAIT or equivalent experimental learning
Excellent interpersonal skills, confident communicator, both verbally and in writing
Able to work confidently alone and effectively as part of a team
