The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) is a non-departmental public body created through the Energy Act 2004.
We employ just over 200 staff and have offices in Cumbria, Caithness, Cheshire, London and Oxfordshire. We own 17 sites across England, Wales and Scotland, some dating back to the 1940s, plus the associated liabilities and assets.
The UK Alpha Resilience and Capability (ARC) Programme is a proactive, long-term collaboration between the UK government, nuclear industry and wider nuclear sector. It seeks to identify targeted projects and investments in specialist skills, expertise and facilities to sustain and enhance the UK’s world-leading alpha capabilities. To support the Programme in realising the benefits, there is a need for a full-time resource to deliver effective stakeholder engagement through targeted communications with various partner organisations and audiences the Programme interacts with (on a national scale). A communications plan has been developed which underpins the activities required to support the Programme to produce and deliver clear consistent messaging.
Imagine having a talent that could benefit someone you’ve never met and solve problems you didn’t even know existed. Well, you do, and you can. And we’re here to help you do just that. At PSR we are the go-to place for talented contractors and temps for a rich variety of public sector roles.

- Representing Programme communications at relevant Programme meetings. This includes attendance at monthly Programme meetings, to provide updates and report on progress against communications activities (populating dashboards and contributing to presentations). Attendance at other meetings or steering groups when required to support comms activities.
- Working proactively to identify opportunities to publicise and highlight work being undertaken by the Programme. Collating and sharing via appropriate channels (monthly newsletters/announcements).
- Communications planning, which will build upon the existing plan, to deliver targeted messaging to specific audience groups. Forward planning and management of the Programme communications planner.
- Communications campaign management which will include the development and implementation of bespoke internal/external comms campaigns.
