Medical Receptionist

**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POST**:
To provide a point of contact for patients and act as a focal point of communication between patients, doctors, and other clinical and non-clinical staff in a professional, efficient and courteous manner. To support medical and nursing staff as required taking a proactive approach.
**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST**:
- Dealing with complex telephone queries and taking messages for members of the team.
- Dealing with patients face to face at the reception desk.
- Updating and maintaining accurate IT records for patients.
- Taking messages for the doctors and dealing with replies, efficiently and in an appropriate manner.
- Working with other Reception team members to process tasks and document queries from the clinicians to our patients.
- Ensuring building security as necessary at the beginning and or end of the day.
- Attending meetings and training sessions as necessary in order to keep skills up to date.
- To maintain patient and staff confidentiality at all times adhering to Practice guidelines/policies/protocols.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: £11.44 per hour
Expected hours: 25.5 per week
