We're looking for someone to join us as a Project Support Officer for the Inclusion Team. You will have an interest in Inclusion and you may have Inclusion practitioner skills. For this post though you will need particularly strong project management and administrative skills to keep our work on track and progressing.

This post is offered as a fixed term contract until the 31st March 24.

This will be reviewed ahead of contract end date.

The post-holder’s main responsibility is to provide project support to the Inclusion team working on a range of projects. This role will include working closely with senior colleagues and the wider teams across NUH.

Working for our organisation

Tasks may include:

- Supporting staff inclusion networks
- Setting up and maintaining project documentation
- Producing regular and ad hoc reports in collaboration with the Equality, - Diversity and Inclusion Lead- Delivering training and briefing sessions to staff
- A key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Analysing and preparing reports using Electronic Staff Record (ESR) data and other sources
- Working with admin support to organise events and training

Training & Qualifications

Essential criteria
- Diploma/Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of continued professional development

Desirable criteria
- Prince 2 Foundation or equivalent project management qualification
- Equality and Diversity qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
- Relevant and extensive experience within administrative / project / programme support/ events organisation
- Experience of supporting service improvement and partnership working
- Experience in dealing with complex issues
- Experience of reviewing / contributing to policies and procedures
- Experience of supporting meetings/events such as process mapping or project group meetings
- Experience of working with confidential, sensitive or contentious information
- Basic knowledge of project management principles
- Experience of compiling and writing reports
- Possess keyboard skills, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Desirable criteria
- Experience of working with NHS clinicians / engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience of providing project support in an NHS setting

Communication and relationship skills

Essential criteria
- Capable of establishing and developing working relationships with a range of key stakeholders and team members
- Able to communicate on complex project, information and administrative matters, requiring developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
- Able to prepare and produce concise yet insightful communications for dissemination to a broad range of stakeholders as required.
- Experience of preparing presentations to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to negotiate, network and persuade others.

- Able to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders at various levels of seniority. (Internally and externally).
