To provide project support to the Corporate Operations team working on the elective pathway agenda. The role will support the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and the Corporate Elective Pathway Lead to plan and deliver a portfolio of activities relating to improving elective care standards across the organisation.

The post holder will provide support to a number of key projects across the organisation which deliver strategic priorities and improvements to our elective pathways, including outpatient transformation and diagnostic improvement programmes.

The post holder will be a key member of the team and will engage in the wide programme of activities the team are responsible for. The role will require strong persuasive and negotiating skills to ensure effective engagement of all parties and effective leadership of assigned projects. It is therefore essential that effective working relationships and efficient working practices are delivered and maintained across the whole of the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire system.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

**Leadership and Project Management**

Ensure complex information key to projects is compiled, managed and updated to the highest level of quality and accuracy. This will include the preparation of reports, flow charts, presentations and other allied project documents for presentation at the appropriate forum.

Monitor and report project or programme progress in a variety of ways including standard reporting tools (dashboards, highlight reports etc.) within the agreed timescales and to the organisation's standards. Work with representatives from NUH and partner organisations to provide Programme Management Office type functions for the programme of work, including supporting internal meetings and sub-groups.

Collate record and analyse complex data (with support from the Business/Finance Team as appropriate) to evidence the planning and eventual impact of the teams’ projects.

Plan and organise own portfolio of work to meet set deadlines and work under pressure, as required managing any unpredictable work patterns as best as possible.

Support the development of risk registers for project work, including developing mitigation where appropriate and reporting against these through the programme governance structure.

Person specification

Educated to degree level, or equivalent experience.

Essential criteria
- Evidence of degree or equivalent
- Project management qualification

Desirable criteria
- Experience of working at acute hospital setting.

A Project Management qualification, for example, PRINCE2 or similar.

Ability to design, create and maintain appropriate information systems (databases and spreadsheets) for service improvement.

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
