Child and Families Healthy Lifestyle Lead

**Join us on our journey to empower over a million people to change their behaviours and thrive**
At Thrive Tribe we deliver award-winning healthy lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that make people happier and healthier It’s a super exciting time to join us as we begin to deliver our Integrated Health and Wellbeing Service (IHWS) throughout the City of Nottingham, and we’re looking for a Child and Families Healthy Lifestyle Lead to join us
Our IHWS programme is designed to support individuals and families to improve their health behaviours and make sustainable changes to their lifestyle. The programme consists of five key services;
- Stop smoking support
- Tailored physical activity programmes
- Adult weight management
- Child/family weight management _(this is where you come in)_
- Health Coaching
Residents across the City of Nottingham will be able to benefit from a variety of our established pathways and products, including Gloji Energy which provides eligible families a fun and engaging programme to support them to eat healthier, manage their weight and increase their physical activity levels. As Child and Families Healthy Lifestyle Lead, you will be responsible for running the Gloji Energy programme and managing a small team of Child Weight Management Practitioners.
Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, you can expect your time at work to be fun, varied and challenging. We don’t like to stick to a firm JD as we know from experience that things change throughout the lifetime of a role and it gives our people the chance to play to their strengths.
A typical day as a **Child and Families Healthy Lifestyle Lead **might include:
- Closely monitoring the progress of the Gloji Energy weight management programme, reviewing performance against KPI’s and producing summary reports when required
- Taking on line management responsibility for a small team of Child Weight Management Practitioners, as well as a Parent Support Mentor, enabling them to carry out their roles effectively
- Working in partnership with community groups and agencies as necessary (e.g. school nursing teams, social workers, family support workers)
- Attending outreach events to promote Gloji Energy with the aim of generating sign ups to the programme, whilst building relationships with key stakeholders
- Forming part of Nottingham’s IHWS Management Team, working closely with the Head of Service and wider Adult Healthy Lifestyles and Physical Activity Leads, to focus on strategic and operational development
- Promoting Gloji Energy and building effective working relationships with external partners such as schools, primary care and secondary care
- Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments - we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources
- Ensuring due consideration is given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements and guidance
- Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values
**About you...**
More than anything, we are looking for a team player who puts their heart in to their work. We’ve got some core values that run through everything we do, and we’d love it if they resonate with you too
**Be the change**
You like helping people. You’ll be working with those who need help the most, empowering them to make positive changes to thrive.
**Be effective**
You’re patient and can adapt under pressure. Always happy to make time for other people. And have a great attitude.
**Be happy**
You recognise the power of a smile. You value a fun, supportive workplace and want to come to work raring to go (check out our rating on Glassdoor).
**Be successful**
You are motivated and driven. Happy working solo or as part of a team, you love meeting targets. And will be given opportunities to contribute and develop your career.
**Be big-hearted**
You want to make a difference. Working with a like-minded team of optimistic people, we want the same thing to do meaningful work and change lives.
To work with us in this role you will need to have some experience of line management in the health sector and/or co-ordinating a health programme. We’re also looking for someone who has experience of supporting individuals, ideally children or young people, to make healthy lifestyle choices through nutrition, physical activity or health coaching - a relevant qualification (such as Health Coaching or fitness instructing) would be a bonus
However, we hire based on attitude over traditional skills and experience so if you feel you are right for the job we would love to hear from you
**Perks...**
Every person makes Thrive Tribe the incredible place it is to work and play together, we’re unstoppable. Within our buzzing environment our talented people work hard but we ensure lots of fun is thrown in too W
