**Job Description - Activities Co-ordinator**

**Job Title**:Activities Co-ordinator

**Remuneration**: £11.50 per hour

**Hours of Work: 18** hours per week including Sunday and Wednesday evenings

**Report To**:Development Manager as part of the Development Team

To develop an activity programmes for young people, including holiday provision, and lead on the consultation and evaluation of this work. Engaging and developing relationships with young people at Perdiswell Young People’s Leisure Club.

**Key Responsibilities**
Initiating and implementing the Centre’s Activity programme and achieving programme aims and objectives.

Engaging and empowering young people in the creation and delivery of key initiatives and activities in line with agreed outputs and outcomes.

Providing opportunities to support young people and associated support staff (volunteers, sessional workers, trainees, etc.).

**Main Duties**
- Prepare and deliver development programmes and activities for young people at Perdiswell Young People’s Leisure Club.
- Support the personal and social development of young people enabling them to recognise and fulfil their potential.
- Engage and assist in the development of Perdiswell Young People’s Leisure Club’s

initiatives and partnerships to ensure young people have a strong voice in the community.
- Encourage young people to participate and play an active role in creative workshops and activities.
- Be aware of and implement relevant Perdiswell Young People’s Leisure Club policies including Equal Opportunities, Safeguarding, Health and Safety, including Covid‑19 precautions.
- Undertake administration duties appropriate to the post.

**Other Duties**
- To be available to work outside normal working hours when required.
- To undertake staff training and staff appraisals as required.
- To develop fundraising for project costs when required and related budget control.
- To undertake any other reasonable and appropriate duties as required by Perdiswell Young People’s Leisure Club.

- Trustworthy and reliable with the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Motivated and enthusiastic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and form positive relationships with young people and their families.
- Ability to work at different settings.
- Have good organisational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a Team of paid and voluntary staff.
- Willingness to be flexible with regards to workload and shifts.

**Knowledge and Experience**
- Experience of working with young people.
- Experience of delivering activities for young people.
- Competency in using computer software programs.
- Hold a current driving licence.

- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
