**Role: Young Persons Worker - CASUAL**
**Salary**:£12.00 an hour.
**Location**:Across Cornwall
**Contract/Hours**:Casual - Flexible hours - choose when you work to suit your home life and studies - our sessions are in the school holidays, weekends, and evenings.

**A bit about the role**
Action for Children Cornwall SPACE is a Cornwall Council funded service providing Holiday Activities for disabled children and young people aged between 5 - 18 years. We offer disabled children and young people exciting new activities to try, providing families with an all-important short break service.
We also offer three youth groups for young disabled people between 14 - 25 years. We have services in the west, mid and east of the county.
**How you'll help to create brighter futures**
You will be doing some fun and exciting activities which will include making pizza, going out on a boat on the sea, cinema trips, beach days and going to the theatre and having a meal, so why not get paid for having fun
**As a Young Persons Worker, you will make a difference by**:
- Providing 1:1 support for a disabled child, building and maintaining excellent rapport with the children and their families.
- Planning and executing activities and encouraging active participation across our group sessions.
- Providing children and families with information and skills to help them support their needs through a variety of challenges.
- Working collaboratively with families and other external stakeholders to make positive changes.
- Updating relevant paperwork.

- Experience of working with young people aged 5-25 with learning disabilities would be an advantage.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practices.
- Creative, positive, and proactive approach towards work.
- You must have access to your own transport to be able travel.
