**Role**:Young Persons Worker
**Salary**: £11.04 an hour
**Contract/Hours: CASUAL -** There will be opportunities to work 3 days a week in the Easter and Summer holidays as well as opportunities to support our youth group delivery.

**The Role**
Action for Children Cornwall SPACE is a Cornwall Council funded service providing Holiday Activities for disabled children and young people aged between 5 - 18 years. We offer disabled children and young people exciting new activities to try, providing families with an all-important short break service.
We also offer three youth groups for young disabled people between 14 - 25 years. We have services in the west, mid and east of the County. We are currently looking for a number of Young Persons Workers to work across the county.
**You will make a difference by**:
- Providing 1:1 support in group activities.
- Supporting and encouraging active participation across our group sessions.
- Building and maintaining excellent rapport with children and their families.
- Updating relevant paperwork.
**You will need**:
- Experience of working with Young people aged 5-25 with learning disabilities would be an advantage.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding
- Creative, positive and proactive approach towards
- Confidence to conduct 1-2-1 sessions and group work that support children and young people's emotional health and wellbeing.
- To be able to work and travel across
