**About The Role**:
Are you prepared to go the extra mile to ensure a positive outcome for your clients? Are you motivated to make a positive contribution to the lives of the people we support? If so, we really want to hear from you.
We are looking for a Relief Support Worker, that will provide support at our adults and families temporary accommodation schemes in **Cornwall**.
Based in **St Austell**, you will work across Cornwall visiting people in LiveWest owned independent properties who require support. You will be lone working with people who have complex needs including substance misuse, mental ill-heath, fleeing domestic abuse and any other challenging issues. Providing a holistic support service assisting with budgeting, benefits, health and wellbeing, housing, maintaining tenancies, sign-posting and emotional support.
You will need to take a creative approach to support, adapting your style of communication and support planning with each individual to draw up a person centred support plan and help customers establish and work towards their goals and aspirations. You will work closely with the Team Manager to ensure that building safety is maintained, organising remedial works and repairs with contractors. We are looking for someone who is resilient and able to work with our young client group to help them address the issues in their lives and move forward onto independence.
Intensive housing management tasks may vary from ensuring that LiveWest customers have access to appropriate services, support and accommodation of a good standard to explaining the licence/tenancy agreement and project rules or working closely with partners to resolve anti social behaviour.
You will be working days on an adhoc basis covering sickness or annual leave to provide a safe, secure and supportive service. You will support and monitor the conduct, health and safety and general welfare of residents with a flexible and sensitive approach.
This is being offered on a
**relief contract basis**, working flexibly to include
**days and weekends** as and when cover is required.
To be considered for the role of Relief Support worker, you will:
- Ideally have experience of lone working.
- Have the ability to assess and manage risk.
- Be able to demonstrate the skills required to support individuals.
- Be able to demonstrate and understanding of adult vulnerabilities in a supported housing environment.
- Have the ability to adopt a methodical, organised approach to work.
If you are able to work flexibly, and have the above experience, we would love to hear from you.
**About The Company**:
LiveWest provides over 39,000 homes to over 80,000 people throughout the South West from Gloucestershire to the Isles of Scilly. We have plans to build over 6,000 homes in the area over the next five years, developing new homes of all tenures including low-cost rent and sale, market rent and sale, and a range of supported housing and intermediate housing products, creating choice and flexibility.
As well as developing new homes, we continue to invest in existing properties and communities. Through the stability of good housing, we place better living for better lives at the centre of our mission both today and for generations to come. At LiveWest we believe in a home for everyone.
