We are on the lookout for an organised and proactive Purchasing Co-ordinator to join a newly formed team to help reach new heights in achieving excellence.
This position is a great opportunity for those individuals who looking to progress their career within the purchasing field. It is ideally suited to those who are at the beginning of this career path or those that have had some brief exposure and ready to jump to the next level.
The Purchasing Team are responsible for the sourcing and selection of suitable, cost effective and reliable suppliers of commodities across all business areas whilst meeting company requirements.
All functions focus on building collaborative relationships, cost optimisation, sourcing, assessing purchasing needs and advising on best practices.
There are many key responsibilities within this role that will keep you challenged, stimulated and busy offering lots of variety and an opportunity to learn and grow professionally
Those tasks could include;
- Understand purchasing requirements from around the business and translate into purchase orders.
- Obtain quotes.
- Evaluate suppliers
- Expediting goods and services.
- Purchase order maintenance.
- Provide clarifications and dispute resolution.
- Conduct market research, identify potential suppliers and negotiate favourable contracts and terms.
- Monitor supplier performance, manage relationships and implement strategies to enhance vendor partnerships.
- Support implementation of new procurement tools into the business.
