New Business Sales Development

My client is a leading company in distribution looking for a Internal sales development lead to help develop their team further. My client has a small team, looking for someone adaptable, helpful and to take their own initiative. Must be confident on thetelephone and have excellent communication both verbal and written. My client is looking for someone who has experience in sales.
This role is based in Dartford, working Monday
- Friday 9am-5.30pm with an hours lunch break. Free parking with 20 days holiday + bank holidays. Must drive as location can be difficult to get to.
The role will include:
- Conducting meetings with customers and understand their requirements.
- Maintain and grow existing customer relationships (respond to customer requests, manage and resolve customer issues)
- Provide/ organise effective service demonstrations.
- Using existing sales processes to research, identify and prospect to new sales opportunities.
- Use initiative to pro-actively build and grow branch turnover.
- Use internal systems to maintain accurate information.
- Meeting achievable targets
- Liaising with internal departments
- Support managers and Directors when required
- Processing of customer enquiries, orders and general sales administration (when required)
- Occasional customer and site visits.
Required skills and experience
- 3+ years B2B sales/ customer service experience
- Experience selling engineering products
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team-orientated environment
- Decision making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
- Personal drive and internal motivation toward high achievement
- Knowledge of MS office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Power-point)
- Live within an hour of the branch location (Dartford)
- Full UK driving license
Preferred skills and experience
- Experience with engineering industry
- SAGE experience would be an advantage
- CRM experience would be an advantage
