**Job description**:
The Major Programmes and Projects (MPP) team is a fast-paced environment that supports both the future and the broader Defence capabilities of the country by providing a range of facilities for Service Personnel and their families across multiple MOD locations. By delivering sustainable infrastructure we also contribute towards the departmental goal of achieving net zero carbon.
The Supplier Engagement Co-ordinator is responsible for co-ordinating construction supplier engagement, working collaboratively with suppliers and customers to actively drive continuous improvement in the planning and delivery of MPP work. They are responsible for ensuring a coordinated cross functional administration of supplier reporting in relation to contracts in collaboration with Commercial. Management of MPP relationships with suppliers' forums.

**Person specification**:
**Main Responsibilities**
- The Portfolio (PfO) Supplier Engagement Co-ordinator within Major Projects and Programmes (MPP) will act as the MPP Representative at Key Stakeholder Events, to promote and improve the profile of the department and its functions.
- Provide advise and support across the MPP including the Defence Estate Organisation (DEO) and Client Side Partners (CSP) supplier engagement and contractual activities.
- Support to the MPP Supplier Management Governance and associated secretariat and governance.
- Communicate and set best practice principles across the whole of MPP, to provide continuous improvement activity for the benefit of DIO and their stakeholders.
- Support Framework contracts continuous improvement forums.
- Work with the MPP Project Manager Officers (PMO) through various MPP Forums to mature supplier data to inform decision making and stakeholder data reporting.
- Communicate supplier related insights to DIO, MPP, Stakeholders and the wider team consistently and regularly.
- Provide insight and support to MPP’s stakeholder management forums, meetings and planned activities including support to deliver the MPP portfolio.
- Coordinate activities with the MPP Suppliers Manager to ensure consistent approach.
**Desirable Experience & Skills**
- Knowledge or experience of working in either a project, defence or infrastructure environment, and working collaboratively with industry partners.
