**About our DEOP team**:
This critical role sits in a team providing commercial support to the Defence Estate Optimisation (DEO) Portfolio, valued at £4.3Bn. It is a 25-year investment programme with the ambition to secure £2bn from disposals of current assets, to invest in new facilities to build a better structured, more economical estate that more effectively supports military capability

At the heart of DEOP’s vision is a significant construction and refurbishment programme for various accommodation asset types and a range of residential, operational, educational and technical facilities across the MOD UK footprint.

This team will be supporting DIO project teams to deliver complex and high value construction and technical support contracts to front line customers and will entail working in a dynamic, fast paced, and sophisticated commercial environment

**As an Associate Commercial Lead in DEOP team**:

- You will report into the Commercial Lead who is responsible for a high value, complex and wide portfolio of project contracts that will be meeting the DEOP Portfolio requirements.
- Provide support to the Commercial Lead with engaging with internal DIO project delivery staff and front line customers to handle awarded New Engineering Contract 4 (NEC 4) terms contracts.
- Supply commercial advice and support to delivery teams, be confident in your understanding of the portfolio of contracts you support and be able to engage with suppliers in a collaborative manner to ensure projects keep to performance, cost and time.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in both a Sourcing and Contract Management environment. You will have opportunities to craft the DEOP project delivery within a wider Portfolio of delivery. You will work with a demanding set of customers so will also develop wider partner engagement, communication and influencing competence.
