**Location**

Our Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) Commercial Teams are based across the UK including Andover, Glasgow, and Whittington.

If found successful, you will be offered one or more of the above locations as your base office. You will be required to work from this specific office on a hybrid basis, therefore you must consider if any of the above locations are within a reasonable travelling distance before applying.

You will be asked to confirm your preferred base location/s at interview stage. Alongside the advertised locations, other DIO locations may be offered

**Person specification**:

- Building strong relationships with a portfolio of DIO internal teams, agreeing, and delivering to a commercial pipeline of requirements
- Lead supplier performance management, including improving sustainability and social responsibility
- Providing expert commercial advice in the development of commercial strategies within Business Cases
- Ensuring all Public Contracting Regulations, MOD Polices and processes are followed and adhered to for all commercial activities
- Providing Contract Management advice to operational teams
- Collaborative and innovative working across Business Improvement transferring knowledge and best working practices
- Administer all commercial aspects of your contracts
- Working as part an effective team to manage successful contracts

Essential Criteria:

- CIPS level 4 or willing to study to achieve this level within 2 years of joining
- Ability to undertake travel to overseas and UK establishments on occasion
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to quickly synthesize, distil and draw conclusions on large amounts of disparate data
- Experience of negotiations

Please be aware that as part of this role you must achieve a CIPS Level 4 and sit a MOD accreditation panel to have a letter of delegation (authority to place and amend contract on behalf of Defence).
