**Overall Summary**
As the Director of Sales, you will lead all activities related to the sales function with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships to achieve property sales objectives. Strategically initiate, plan, and manage the development and implementation of the Hotel’s Sales Strategy to ensure that the hotel's facilities and services are sold according to agreed budgeted guidelines, maximizing revenue opportunities across all areas. Additionally, manage the sales relationship with representation companies MHR and PHR, collaborating closely with them to align sales efforts and optimize results.

3. Analyse & report on sales & financial data.
4. Build & develop successful relationships.
5. Maintain effective communication within the Sales team and across all hotel departments.
**Primary Responsibilities**
- Lead all activities related to the sales function with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships to achieve property sales objectives.
- Strategically initiate, plan, and manage the development and implementation of the Hotel’s Sales Strategy to maximize revenue opportunities across all areas, following agreed budgeted guidelines.
- Manage the sales relationship with representation companies MHR and PHR, collaborating closely with them to align sales efforts and optimize results.
- Communicate the purpose and success of the sales team to both the wider hotel team and representation companies, fostering transparency and ensuring a unified approach in achieving sales goals.
- Identify & qualify new contacts by researching business opportunities.
- Facilitate special project research within local areas to identify potential business requirements of target markets.
- Responsibly manage sales expenses within the budget.
- Respond promptly to all quotations and leads within 24 hours
- Supervise and enhance key accounts and account productivity with Sales Managers.
- Assist in creating the hotel's annual Rooms & Conference budgets and overall hotel budgets and forecasts.
- Investigate budget shortfalls in any market segment, as requested by the Commercial Director.
- Achieve set sales targets and promptly address adverse results.

**Understanding Business Requirements**
- Continuously appraise the suitability of the annual sales plan, and develop and modify as necessary to achieve the best possible results during changing market conditions and sales periods.
- Identify market trends and competitor practices, seizing business where appropriate for the hotel.
- Attend relevant trade fairs and sales trips as required.
- Represent the hotel at industry functions and exhibitions as required.
- Carry out FAM trips, site inspections, and promotional events targeting current account base and prospective new clients.
- Review nominated accounts quarterly.
