This a fixed term contract to 4th April 2025 (to allow completion of the apprenticeship), for 25 hours per week, over 38 weeks per year (paid weeks of 45.2 weeks per year)

**Plymouth CAST, one of the largest Catholic Multi Academy Trusts in the country, is seeking to appoint an apprentice Governance Administrator.**

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly organised apprentice Governance Administrator to join our Central Team. As Governance Administrator you will play a crucial role of advising the Local Governing Board on constitutional matters, duties and powers within the broad legislative framework. You will support the Headteacher and Local Governing Board in the role of Clerk at meetings and ensure continuity of business and membership.

You will act as an apprentice Governance Administrator to a number of schools’ Local Governing Boards remotely and will also provide administrative support to your line manager, the Trust Governance Officer, as and when required.

This is an exciting time to join a forward thinking and committed team. You will gain knowledge, skills and experience through your apprenticeship by participating in any classes or workshops as required. It will be necessary for you to complete assignments, along with any other work in a timely manner and in relation to the requirements of the training provider. During your apprenticeship with Plymouth CAST you will be studying towards the ‘Governance Officer’ apprenticeship programmewith the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education. Your contracted hours per week will include dedicated study time towards your apprenticeship studies. You will be supportively mentored by your line manager, our experienced Trust Governance Officer, to ensure that you access appropriate professional support and guidance.

You will need diplomacy, excellent communication skills, approachability, as well as the ability to converse confidently with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

- GCSE grade C/4 or higher in English and Math’s or equivalent qualifications or work experience. Further qualifications in Administration and Business would be advantageous.
- Experience of working in an office, or providing general administrative support
- Experience of using and maintaining ICT hardware
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Sympathetic and supportive of the Catholic nature and aims of the Trust and to upholding the Gospel Values.
