With over 100,000 customers served and more than 250,000 visitors per month to our sites, we’re a wildly ambitious and rapidly growing eCommerce brand in the home improvement space. From wallpaper to tools and everything in between, we supply over 40,000 products from trusted brands such as Dewalt, Ronseal, and Graham & Brown.

To continue this growth, we’re looking to grow our marketing team further by welcoming an equally ambitious Copywriting Executive. You will play a vital role within the team, responsible for creating engaging and persuasive content that showcases our products, educates DIYers, and drives conversions.

You’ll work closely with our broader marketing team, which includes specialists in Paid Media, Search Marketing, Social Media and more. Together, you’ll be responsible for creating a rounded and impactful approach to content that reflects the brand’s tone and helps us achieve our growth goals in the years to come.

**Responsibilities of a Copywriting Executive will be**:

- Create engaging, persuasive, and knowledgeable content for products, blogs, and more across all key home improvement categories.
- Create unique, valuable, and ‘viral’ content on home improvement for distribution to media outlets as part of our larger digital PR effort.
- Create quarterly content plans that align with ‘peaks and troughs’ in category demand, planned promotional activity, and long-term SEO goals.
- Work in tandem with our development team to ensure the website is designed and structured in a way that puts our content ‘front and centre’.
- Undertake ‘light touch’ optimisation on content for the purposes of SEO (training will be provided) to maximise our visibility in search along with our Head of SEO.
- Monitor and analyse the performance of content to identify best practices moving forward (training will be provided).

**Training that will be provided include**:

- Our Head of SEO will provide one-to-one training on how to best structure and write content for the purposes of Google. This will also include training on utilising tools such as Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, and more to aid your copywriting process.
- Our Head of Marketing will provide one-to-one training on how to gather and analyse data on the performance of content. This will include training on invaluable tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and more to help you better identify trends.

**Skills our Copywriting Executive will need are**:

- Proven experience in copywriting for a commercial brand, ideally in an ecommerce or digital role.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for details and the ability to convey complex concepts concisely.
- Highly creative approach and able to take an out of the box approach to creating engaging content plans and copy.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment.
- Great at working as part of a larger team of mixed skilled individuals as well as the ability to work alone where appropriate.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
