About the role:

As an SEN TA with a specialism in challenging behaviours, you will play a crucial role in supporting children who require additional assistance due to behavioural challenges. You will primarily work one-on-one or with small groups of students, focusing on those prone to running or exhibiting disruptive behaviours. Your patience, empathy, and proactive approach will contribute significantly to the students’ educational and emotional development.

• Relevant experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviours.

• A patient and compassionate approach to supporting students’ emotional and educational needs.

• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.

• A commitment to promoting inclusive education and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with challenging behaviours, ensuring their safety and engagement in learning activities.

• Implement individualized behaviour management strategies as directed by the SENCO and class teacher.

• Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging social interaction and emotional regulation.

• Collaborate closely with teachers and external specialists to monitor progress and adjust support strategies accordingly.
