About the role:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners with challenging behaviours? As an SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Challenging Behaviours, you will play a crucial role in helping our students navigate their learning journey. You will work closely with children who require additional support in managing their behaviour, fostering an environment where they can thrive academically and emotionally.
Your patience, kindness, and expertise will be the cornerstones of your success in this role.
Application Requirements:
• Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 qualification preferred, but not essential.
• Experience: Experience working with children with challenging behaviours is desirable.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of SEN, and the ability to build positive relationships with children.
• Attributes: Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to children with challenging behaviours, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
• Develop and implement strategies to manage and improve behavioural issues.
• Work closely with teachers and SEN coordinators to create individualised learning plans.
• Monitor and record progress, adapting approaches as needed to meet each child’s unique needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to achieve their best.
