About the role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to support children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. As an SEN-TA, you will work closely with teachers and other staff members to support the learning and development of students with ASD, ensuring they can access the curriculum, build social skills, and achieve their potential. This is a full-time, long-term role where you’ll play an essential part in creating an inclusive, positive learning environment.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) strategies.
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work both one-on-one and in small groups.
• Experience supporting Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 students is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, helping them engage in lessons and activities.
• Work alongside the class teacher to implement individual learning plans.
• Encourage the social, emotional, and academic development of students.
• Monitor and record the progress of students, adjusting support strategies as needed.
• Foster a positive, nurturing relationship with pupils, helping them feel comfortable and confident in the classroom.
