About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) to join our dedicated team. This is a full-time, long-term position with a salary range of £85-£100 per day. The role has become available due to a new addition to our team to further enhance our SEN support and to provide targeted assistance to students with SEMH needs. In this role, you will be working closely with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students, providing specialized support to ensure their emotional and academic needs are met.
The class sizes are manageable, allowing for a more focused and personalized approach to teaching. This role stands out as it offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on student’s lives, working within a supportive and collaborative environment that values your expertise and dedication.
Application Requirements:
• Have experience working with children with SEMH needs.
• Possess a strong understanding of various SEMH strategies and interventions.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Show resilience and a proactive approach in managing challenging behaviors.
• Hold relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs, particularly SEMH.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide targeted support to students with SEMH needs, including one-to-one and group interventions.
• Develop and implement individualised learning plans in collaboration with teachers and SEN coordinators.
• Monitor and track student progress, adapting strategies as needed to ensure effective support.
• Support classroom teachers in creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Foster positive behavior and emotional well-being among students.
