About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in SEMH needs to join our supportive team. As an SEN TA, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. This is a full-time, long-term position where you will work closely with our SENCO and other staff members to create and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students. Your role will involve both one-on-one support and working with small groups, ensuring that every child’s unique needs are met with care and compassion.

Application Requirements:

• Relevant experience working with children with SEMH needs.

• A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom.

• Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

• Work closely with the SENCO to monitor and track student progress.

• Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and resilience.
