About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in challenging behaviors to join our team. This is a full-time, long-term position with a competitive daily rate of £85-£100. The role has become available due to the expansion of our SEN support team, reflecting our commitment to providing the best possible learning environment for all students.
In this role, you will work 1:1 with children who exhibit challenging behaviors, providing tailored support to help them thrive in a mainstream classroom setting. You will be part of a close-knit team, working alongside experienced teachers and support staff in a vibrant and inclusive school community.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children who have special educational needs, particularly those with challenging behaviors.
• Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and techniques.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong, positive relationships with children.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to adapt and respond to the needs of the child and the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 support to students with challenging behaviors, helping them to engage with the curriculum and develop positive learning behaviors.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
• Assist in the development and delivery of tailored interventions and support strategies.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
