About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) with a specialism in challenging behaviours to join our dynamic team. This full-time, long-term position is crucial in supporting students with complex needs in Key Stages 1 and 2.
The role is available immediately and will involve working closely with students who have a range of behavioural and emotional challenges. This role has become available due to the school’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional support for students with challenging behaviours.
The position will be a permanent addition to our dedicated SEN team. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview, which will include a practical assessment and discussion with key members of staff.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with challenging behaviours and special educational needs.
• Strong understanding of Behavioural Support Plans and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs or equivalent experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support and manage students with challenging behaviours in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavioural Support Plans.
• Collaborate with teachers to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Develop strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to support student progress and well-being.
• Provide 1:1 support and small group interventions as required.
