About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Challenging Behaviours to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis. This position has become available due to the expansion of our SEN department. The successful candidate will work 1:1 with students, providing the necessary support to help them achieve their full potential. You will be joining a highly experienced and supportive team in a well-resourced environment. Our class sizes are small, allowing for personalised attention and tailored educational experiences. Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with challenging behaviours.

• Strong understanding of SEN best practices and strategies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to students with challenging behaviours, helping them to access the curriculum and engage in learning.

• Implement and develop individualised education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and SEN coordinators.

• Assist with classroom management and support the teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment.

• Monitor and report on student progress, adapting strategies as necessary to meet individual needs.
