About the role:
Join our dynamic team as an SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs at our inclusive and supportive school in Edmonton, London. You will play a crucial role in providing targeted support to students, helping them to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. This role involves working closely with class teachers and external specialists to implement tailored strategies and interventions, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to thrive in a mainstream educational setting. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young learners, promoting positive behavior and fostering a nurturing learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.
Application Requirements:
• Relevant experience working with children with SEMH needs preferred.
• A passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of young learners.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable).
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Implement and monitor individual education and behavior plans (IEPs/IBPs) for assigned students.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student progress.
