The Deputy Chief Engineer (Space) will play a critical role in guiding, coordinating, and assessing the technical quality and risk of engineering projects. Your focus will be on ensuring successful missions across the company’s global portfolio.

This Deputy Chief Engineer (Space) position offers the opportunity to join a dynamic and rapidly growing company developing cutting-edge in-orbit services and will collaborate closely with both UK and French offices, as well as European projects and staff.

 Key Responsibilities for the Deputy Chief Engineer (Space):

Participate in design reviews and technical meetings, offering critical analysis and guidance.
Support Failure Review Boards, Material Review Boards, and major non-conformance investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective action.
Uphold engineering standards and best practices across all global programs.
Work with local engineers on various projects, providing technical guidance and ensuring consistency.
Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive risk matrix, identifying and mitigating potential technical challenges for global projects.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between engineering teams worldwide, ensuring alignment of technical goals.Key Skills & Experience Required by the Deputy Chief Engineer (Space):

15+ years’ of hands-on engineering experience on space or space related projects.
Experience with the entire design life cycle of satellite development projects such as: mission analysis design, requirements development, system budgets, design reviews, assembly integration and test (AIT), launch operations, and in-orbit operations.
Broad knowledge of spacecraft subsystems & various satellite engineering disciplines.
Familiarity with space industry standards, best practices, and engineering development process.
