Deputy Projects Editor

Oxford, United Kingdom Global Water Intelligence Full time

**Location**: Oxford OX1 1XX (hybrid working, with minimum three days in office)
**Salary**: £28,000 - £35,000 per year (dependent on experience, with a six-month probationary period)
**Contract**: Full time, permanent, 37.5 hours per week

**Working closely with the Editor-in-Chief**, you will co-manage a team of contributors (all of whom have other jobs), while also independently pursuing information on major water infrastructure projects around the world as they move from concept through to contract award. Most of this information is kept to insiders, which is why it is so valuable.

Each project detailed in the Project Tracker is an opportunity for our readers, but it is also a data point in the bigger picture of the water market. By analysing trends in project markets, and talking regularly to sources on the ground, the Deputy Projects Editor will help inform the market forecasts, research and event agendas that shape the water industry.
- The confidence and charm to win people’s trust over the phone.
- The energy and the skill to inspire and manage a team of contributors.
- An exceptional spoken and written command of the English language.
- A nose for information that actually matters, and a doggedness in the pursuit of it.
- Creativity and flexibility in your approach.
- Scrupulous attention to detail, taking pride in delivering something brilliant.
- A bachelor’s degree.
- Professional experience in journalism, data analysis or research looked upon favourably.

Once hired, the Deputy Projects Editor will receive specialised training with the Editorial Director and Editor-in-Chief.
