The Opportunity: Director of Finance

Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, this pivotal role within the CFO's Leadership team is responsible for leading the operational finance function and supporting the Trust's strategic goals. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving improvements in quality, efficiency, and effectiveness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for finance across the entire organization.
  • Define financial objectives aligned with board approval and NHS England requirements.
  • Oversee sound financial management, reporting, and budgetary control.
  • Deliver comprehensive financial services, including end-of-year accounts for statutory and regulatory purposes.
  • Collaborate with Divisional Leadership Teams and Heads of Finance to ensure high-quality Business Partnering services.
  • Align the Trust's financial management with that of the Integrated Care System (ICS) and represent the Trust at ICS meetings.
  • Act as Deputy CFO, representing the CFO at Trust Executive/Chief Officer meetings as needed.
