Associate Professors (Education) at Durham

Associate Professors (Education) will engage in teaching, innovation and citizenship whilst fully focusing on the key skills to further enhance their careers. Teaching quality and innovation is critical to ensure a first-class learning environment and curricula for all of our students.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Offer lectures, seminars and tutorials at undergraduate and taught postgraduate levels.
  2. Engage in pedagogic activity that supports a high quality, academic professional community of practice.
  3. Maintain an active membership and engagement with a professional body.
  4. Provide significant programme leadership.
  5. Promote and lead ongoing curriculum development.

Person Specification

Education

Candidates will make a significant contribution to the development and delivery of high-quality teaching. Essential Education Criteria:
  1. Qualifications - a good first degree and a PhD in Accounting or a related subject.
  2. Quality - experience of making a significant contribution to the development and delivery of high-quality teaching.
  3. Innovation - evidence of successful development of innovative teaching methods.
  4. Strategic Development - evidence of significant contribution to the creation of nationally excellent learning environments.
