Chemical Sales Account Executive

As an integral part of our established Sales & Operations team, you will play a crucial role in fostering and enhancing client relationships. Your primary responsibilities will include demonstrating comprehensive system knowledge, effectively managing contracts for existing accounts, and driving new sales opportunities within the North East region.
Your role will involve selling, showcasing, and promoting our diverse range of specialty water and process chemicals, as well as monitoring technologies. You will collaborate with customers and prospects to fulfill their sales and service requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement customer account sales strategies, overseeing all proposal activities from generating quotes to processing purchase orders.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
- Coordinate support resources to maintain and expand existing accounts while securing new business.
- Engage in plant visits, audits, and trials as necessary, conducting relevant water analysis and reporting findings.
- Uphold the integrity of sales and marketing strategies to achieve sales objectives within your designated territory.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas and performance metrics.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and alignment with company strategies and initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to cultivate and nurture relationships with clients while supporting multiple managers and teams. Exceptional communication skills across all platforms and a strong customer service orientation are essential.
Successful Account Managers are typically motivated, goal-oriented, and well-organized, demonstrating excellent time management and prioritization skills. A proven track record in project management and consistently exceeding targets is highly desirable.
Experience in Account Management or sales within a water/process treatment company or industrial setting is preferred.
Essential Skills- Technical qualifications in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or substantial industry experience.
- Proven ability to deliver value and implement effective selling strategies, with a history of acquiring new accounts and developing markets.
- Knowledge of specialty water and process chemicals, along with associated monitoring technologies.
- A proactive, responsible team player with a positive attitude towards product and personal development.
- A valid UK driving license is required.
