Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account and Sales Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will work in the North of England with a well-established sales and operations team, responsible for maintaining and developing client relationships, demonstrating systems knowledge, and displaying wealth of contract management across existing accounts while being fully engaged in the pursuit of new sales within the North East region.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales and Business Development
  • Selling, demonstrating, and promoting a range of specialty water, process chemicals, and monitoring technologies to a wide range of industries.
  • Working with customers and prospective clients to support their needs that will vary in size and difficulty.
Account Management
  • Developing and executing customer account sales plans, coordinating all proposal activity from generating quotes to processing POs.
  • Coordinating support resources to maintain and grow existing accounts and win/close new accounts.
Client Support
  • Conducting plant visits, auditing, surveying, and managing any trial work.
  • Occasionally conducting appropriate water analysis/testing and reporting.
Strategic Planning
  • Continuously working on strategies and implementation of sales and marketing programs to achieve company sales targets within the North East.

Requirements

  1. Background and Experience
  • A background in Account Management or sales in a water/process treatment company or chemical plant.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Outstanding communication skills with customers, contractors, and internal staff to inspire and support the company's objectives.
  • Excellent project management experience and a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Technically qualified in chemical, environmental, mechanical, or similar engineering environment – or time served in industry.
Personal Qualities
  • Strong customer focus and the desire to excel at services and challenges given by a customer.
  • A clean UK driving license is a must.

Benefits

The company boasts one of the best benefits packages along with a competitive basic salary. Dependent upon the amount of experience you bring, the role pays between GBP 40,000 and 50,000 – to achieve GBP 50,000 you will have already worked within a water processing environment and handled chemicals, with evidence of your sales and achievement of KPIs.
